The Draconians, an honourable, arrogant, aristocratic race, came into conflict with Earth in the 26th century as both empires expanded. They were sometimes referred to as 'Dragons' by Earthpeople, partly due to their green scaly appearance, but also in memory of the bloody three day war between the two proud races.
